Brief: To design and create the front cover and contents page for a school aimed at pupils
I will have to clearly identify the audience in either the key stages 3,4 or 5, or possibly all of them.
When I have chosen my target audience I will have to conduct some research into that audience, to give me a clear indication at to what I am creating.
I will have to find out what is the preferred layouts, colours, fonts, topics, images etc.
I am going to strongly consider the contents, the topics covered, style, type and style of images used, moral, ethic and legal restrictions and publishing costs.
I will have to create multiple free hand drafts, with a few possible computer versions.
I will make sure there is a clear house style with at least or most 2-3 colours, clear and eye catching images, lures, puffs and relevant furniture e.g. Date and issue.
In the contents I will make sure the selected images are well placed and relevant, it will need to be a clear contents, maybe some editorial/publishing team information and some possible competitions.
